I am not afraid of sadness in my life anymore.
I used to run and hide from it at all costs, but I know I am safe now.
I have walked through it, and I know I can walk through it again.
I have loved deeply, I have grieved honestly, and I have shown up fully.
Because of that, I carry a quiet confidence within me.
When waves come, I will not resist them. I will let them rise, and I will let them pass — knowing they do not take anything from me.
They do not remove my peace; they move alongside it.
I am safe. I am steady. I am held.
My strength is not in avoiding emotion, but in moving through it.
I trust that I can feel deeply and still remain grounded, secure, and at peace.
I can experience joy, happiness, and a sense of good — even in the midst of all things.
Through all of this, my faith anchors me.
In Jesus Christ, I find a peace that is not shaken by circumstances.
And so I move forward with confidence —
not because life is without sorrow,
but because I am choosing, through faith, to no longer be afraid of it.
